From the south: Take your best route to Colebrook, New Hampshire, at the intersection of US Route 3 and NH Route 26. In Colebrook turn onto NH Route 145 North (your landmark is Howard's Restaurant, famous for its pies) and travel about 8.8 miles to Old County Road just past the sign marking the 45th parallel--half way to the North Pole. Another landmark is the old Clarksville Schoolhouse on the left just before the intersection. Turn right onto Old County Road (you'll see a sign for Rudy's at the intersection) then an immediate left up the hill onto Clarksville Pond Road. In approximately 1.5 miles you will reach the next Rudy's sign on your left; and there you are. From the North (Pittsburg, NH): Your choice: Head south down Rt 145 to Old County Road (on the left, just south of Ben Young Hill--if you get to West Road you've gone too far.) or south on US Route 3. From Rt. 3, at the Clarksville Store, turn left (east) onto West Road. When West Road intersects with Rt 145 at the Clarksville School, turn left, then an immediate right onto Old County Road, and proceed as above. From the West (Canaan, VT): Head east on 114 to the intersection with US Route 3. Turn left (north) on Rt. 3 to the intersection with West Road at the Clarksville Store. Turn right (east) and proceed as above. |
